Slacker

I can't believe that I have already broken the promise to myself to blog at least 2 times a week....but this has been a crazy week! It all started with Daniel getting the worse stomach bug ever on Sunday night...I am pretty sure that he lost 10 lbs in one evening. You know it is true love once you have experienced that with someone!

Anyways...I was playing nurse to him the first part of the week and then yesterday we had our monthly Dr. visit! They said that everything looks great! The heartbeat was a little higher yesterday than it has been. It has been 145 - 147 and yesterday it was 157-160. Maybe this little one is just trying to keep us on our toes! After the appt. we went to an iconic Greenville eatery....Tommy's Country Ham House. Daniel and I both couldn't believe that after living in Greenville for 28 years that neither one of us had ever eaten there! It was soooooo goood! (Maybe it was for the best we had never been there....)So Critter got to experience our first visit and we will definitely be taking him/her back when him/her is born!!!

I am so glad that it is Friday. I promise to post some pictures next week! I am going to start taking pictures of the evolution of the nursery!!! And maybe if I am brave enough I will take some belly pictures...it has been a while and the belly has definitely changed!!!

Have a great weekend!

2 Posts in 2 Days....

Not too bad! I might actually like this whole blogging thing!

Well this year St. Patrick’s day came and went…no green beer (no beer at all for that matter), corn beef or cabbage (we ate spaghetti)- about the only thing I did to observe St. Patty's Day this year was wear a green sweater vest that looked too small because I had on a maternity shirt underneath that was really long so it looked like my vest was a belly shirt (got to go invest in some more maternity clothes)!

Speaking of maternity clothes…it has become my new pet peeve to look online for maternity clothes and see models in maternity clothes that have a flatter stomach than I did BEFORE I was pregnant! Seriously….give me a break! I guess I have been lucky so far- I am still in SOME of my regular pants thanks to the bella band (which is a must for when you are first pregnant) but I think that it is time that I go do some spring shopping. There really is nothing like pants with elastic waist bands…everyone should own a pair even if you are not pregnant!

Let me tell you one thing I look forward to this year…Bathing suit shopping…Yeah Right!!! It has always been such a joy in the past (NOT), this year will be a great blast I am sure! (Daniel wanted to know why I couldn’t just wear my old bathing suits and just let “the belly” hang out). I told him this was kind of like seeing someone with “Dunlap’s Disease” (you know your belly is so big it done-lapped over your belt) but way worse! So dont worry….if you are hanging out with me this summer in a bathing suit situation I will not be exposing the belly in my regular bathing suit-it will all be covered up!!!

I always like looking at people’s blogs to see their pictures, so today I will leave you with some random pics of our life!

I made Bones clean out the closet in our extra bedroom and he found this treasure...His warm up from high school basketball. I bet him that it wouldn't fit and he said if it did he got to keep it! He won!

These are just from a randon Sunday in the back yard!(Excuse my outfit...I had on a dress and it was a bit chilly so I put on pj pants). Our dog Brice wants nothing else in life than to just chase the ball...Doc on the other hand just chases Brice who has the ball! I hope we still love them just as much when little Critter gets here!

Have a great Thursday-

A little nervous....

...That I am posting my first entry on my new blog!! I can't believe that I am really doing this...I absolutely love reading other people's blogs...you can get awesome ideas, hear entertaining stories, (especially about being pregnant & parenting), catch up on what old friends are doing and most of all make that last 20 minutes of work go by faster when you just can't do anymore work!

My friend Jami and I always share different blogs that we enjoy reading and just yesterday I told her I would be the worse blogger EVER because I just don't have that exciting of a life and as a blog reader I feel that there is so much pressure on people that do have blogs because I get so annoyed when I check blogs that I read reguarly and they haven't been updated in FOREVER. I am promising to myself right now that I will update this at least twice a week-even if it is a boring post- I will write something!

So with the arrival of "Critter" (that is what my sweet husband affectionately named our unborn child) in July I feel like I will have a lot more to "blog" about. I have already experienced some sleepless nights, so maybe this will make the time go by when I am wide awake at 2:00 in the am.

So even if only my family and friends read this - or if no one reads it at all- I will be able to document all the things that are going on in our lives and can look back on it for years to come (I think that is another awesome thing about blogging). I also think that it will be a great way to just to get my thoughts out...be them as random as they may be (yes I do have moments when I let the absolutely most random things fly out of my mouth-and Daniel loves it) maybe I will also have some useful things to share, and maybe it will inspire me to do creative things around my house so I can post those too!!

I feel like I have done a pretty good job on my first post-Jami I hope that you will add this to your "FAVORITES" list and maybe it will make you think again about starting a blog as well!!

Have to get back to work...thank goodness this thing has spell check!

Have a great day-

Lindsey- I need a cute and clever sign off name....will work on that next!
